This week is National Arts in Education Week! Join me in honoring Mrs. Rachlin and Mrs. Strickland for their dedication to fostering creativity in our students. We are so fortunate to have their talent and energy in our school!
This week we have a full week of school. It is critical that all students are on time and present for school. Remember if your child is out that you need to submit an absence note using the link on the school website to upload your note.
Tuesday, September 15th is Dot Day so be sure to show off all your dots. Also on Tuesday evening the PTO will be holding a Fall Festival planning meeting at 7pm in the media center.
As a reminder students not enrolled in the before school program can be dropped off after 7:20 in the morning. Please make sure your child is prepared to unload in the morning and that they unload from the passenger side. All students should be in class by 7:50. If you enter the car line after this time you are tardy and you will need to walk your child in and sign them in.
If you need to change your child’s transportation information for the day, please be sure to complete the transportation change form on the school website prior to 2pm. We dismiss at 2:35 in the afternoon. If you are picking up your child in the car rider line please display your car rider tag.
For parents and visitors coming to have lunch please remember that outside food and drinks are not permitted in the cafeteria. We encourage all families to complete the free and reduced lunch application. Even if your child qualified in the past, you must complete the form each year. Our one and only school wide fundraiser is underway. We will pass out superhero keychains on Friday of this week for any students that have submitted orders already. The funds that are raised will go toward purchasing instructional materials that benefit all of our students and classrooms. We encourage families to pay online to protect instructional time.
This month we are focusing on Empathy which is understanding and feeling what others are experiencing. Our challenge for students is to ensure that everyone they interact with feels seen, heard, and valued.
