Wildcat Weekly Updates-Week of October 19th

Good Evening Wildcat Families,

Throughout October we are continuing our focus on Self Direction.  This month, we’re challenging students to envision future goals and take intentional steps toward who they want to be. We are partnering with you to grow and develop your child’s ability to self-direct. We can model self-direction by celebrating the positive in each day, seeking the good in others, and emphasizing our responsibility to make positive choices.

Be sure to check out the family newsletter for October.

This week we have a full week of school.

On Monday, the PTO kicks off their Attractions Book Fundraiser.

On Tuesday, October 20th fourth and fifth grade students will go on their field trip to see the NC Symphony.

On Wednesday, October 21st wear orange to celebrate Unity Day.  Wearing orange shows that at E.M. Holt, we are united  and we stand against bullying!

On Friday, October 23rd we kick off Red Ribbon Week so be sure to wear red.-Rally in Red!

Now for a few general reminders:

It is critical that all students are on time and present for school.  Remember if your child is out that you need to submit an absence note using the link on the school website to upload your note.

As a reminder students not enrolled in the before school program can be dropped off after 7:20 in the morning. Please make sure your child is prepared to unload in the morning and that they unload from the passenger side.   All students should be in class by 7:50.  If you enter the car line after this time you are tardy and you will need to walk your child in and sign them in.

If you need to change your child’s transportation information for the day, please be sure to complete the transportation change form on the school website prior to 2pm. We dismiss at 2:35 in the afternoon.   If you are picking up your child in the car rider line please display your car rider tag.  All car riders should be picked up by  3:10.

We currently have an overdue lunch balance of $609.  If you would like to help us pay the lunch debt down. You can donate at www.AllforLunch.org/EMHoltES This page is dedicated specifically to our school, and 100% of the donations will go directly back to our school to help eliminate school lunch debt. There are no fees, and all donations are tax-deductible. Donors will automatically receive a receipt via email after giving.

You can pay your child’s lunch balance  online at https://www.k12paymentcenter.com/
