Western Alamance Middle School

October 18, 2026

Good afternoon Western Alamance Middle School families,

This is a great time to log into Infinite Campus and check your child’s grades. We encourage you to have conversations with your student about any outstanding assignments that need to be completed and submitted before the grading period ends.  Students should also check with their teachers to confirm the last day they can turn in any work for this grading period. A reminder that Monday October 26th is a teacher workday, no school for students

PTO:Our 80's glow dance is October 23. The last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday October 21st. Tickets are $10. PTO accepts Venmo & cash. A permission slip must accompany payment. We are still in need of a few donations and volunteers!  Please see the sign up genius link below.

Would you like to help a student celebrate their special day? Stop by the front office and pick up a birthday gram. It is a great way to spread some cheer!!

Are you tired of waiting in the Car Rider line?  We have a raffle for that!  You may Venmo your request to WAMS PTO by placing the student's name and grade in the comment box. Weather permitting, we will walk the line a few times as well. Tags will be sent home on October 23.

Let's play some dodgeball!  Teams are forming now!  We need some volunteers to make this event successful. Please see the link below to sign up for a slot. The last day to turn in forms is November 3.

Counseling:WAMS students and staff are encouraged to wear orange for Unity Day to show our commitment to kindness and acceptance. This day supports bullying prevention and reminds students that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and connected at school. Families can join us by talking with their children about including others, speaking up against bullying, and reaching out to a trusted adult for help.

High School Speciality Program Meeting: Families of 8th grade students are invited to learn about the ABSS High School Speciality Programs this Monday, November 9th at 6:00 pm in our Media Center. Representatives from the Alamance Burlington Early College, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, and the PreCollegiate Academy will present information and answer questions that you might have about each option for high school.
