Good afternoon Western Alamance Middle School families,
As we enter Thanksgiving week, I want to take a moment to share how truly thankful we are for our Western Alamance community. It is a privilege to partner with you as we serve your students. A reminder that school is closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for Thanksgiving Break. We hope you enjoy this time to rest, spend time with loved ones, and celebrate the season of gratitude.
PTO: Thanks so much for purchasing the Gobble Grams! We will hand them out tomorrow during homeroom. If the recipient is absent next week, they will get them upon their return.
Show our teachers some love during their duty free lunch. We need people to bring in soup (in a crockpot) or assist in the cafeteria during lunch. It's a great time to visit with your child and their middle school friends! Please see the sign up Genius link below or check our Facebook!

Fall Make-Up Picture Day:
Make up Picture Day is Monday, November 24th. Picture make-ups are for students who did not have a picture taken on Oct. 21st. When entering student information, parents should be sure to enter the student's name as it is on file with the school. To pay online, go to www.strawbridge.net. Click order picture and enter the following code: PX476830
Free and Reduced Lunch Application: Beginning Tuesday 10/7, if students have not submitted an application for this year 2025-2026, they will revert back to a full pay status.
Breakfast and lunch are not universally free for all students. If you would like your child to eat meals at school, you will either need to put money on their online account or you will need to secure a free/reduced lunch status by filling out the required form. Paper forms are available in the WAMS main office or you can fill it out online. Please make sure that you have been approved for free or reduced lunch or that your child has lunch money in their account.
Infinite Campus: As you are aware, ABSS transitioned from PowerSchool to a new student information system, Infinite Campus (IC), over the summer months. This new platform will now be used to access student schedules, grades, attendance, and more. On Monday, August 4, parents/guardians will receive a message from ABSS with instructions on how to create their Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. Please be sure to check your email to get started.

These updates include promotions, additional deals and the ability to order more pictures at a later time. The Athletic Booster Club at the high school: Join the WAHS Athletic Booster Club for the Dashing Through the Park - Santa Fun Run and 5k. Enjoy some hot chocolate and cotton candy as you stroll through the decorated park or enjoy a festive run! You can also shop local vendors before and after your run!
